Skin & Tonic, to soothe joints & nourish skin
This came about by accident after concocting something for teen skin plus a scar that flares up. Thank you to Katie Bristow for the name.
Here is a little about the ingredients.
Aloe is known for its use on sunburn, psoriasis, eczema, skin ulcers & and for its moisturising properties, especially when using the inner leaf as we have. Gentle & soothing in many respects.
It’s no secret I love MSM. As well as the many benefits for health & joints MSM is known for its role in helping to produce collagen, helping with dry, cracked skin, calming itching & helping to form new tissue so proven a great help for scar healing. Add to this anti-inflammatory action & it’s a pretty lovely thing.
Sea Buckthorn Oil
The oil is extracted from the seeds & berries of this pretty plant that smells divine I have to say. Used in many anti aging creams, on sunburn, acne, dermatitis, stretch marks etc. Sea Buckthorn is also selected by animals with skin issues interestingly.
So here at HQ Skin and Tonic has been used on the dog’s paws & belly to patch test, teen skin, on a scar and now I am using it as a moisturiser and its taken years off (Ok maybe that is pushing it!) We love it; it is gentle and smells lovely but not overpowering.
I look forward to hearing feedback & hope you like it as much as we do.
You could use it for people & dogs for scars that are healing, achy joints & all of the above mentioned issues.
